We have recently published an article on Effective Typography in Web Design, where we chose some beautifully designed typographic effects and designs being a large feature of the website.
Today we are looking at handwritten fonts as a large design element. Handwritten typography has traditionally been used for sites aimed at or about children, comic or comedy style sites and doodle-style website design. More recently we are seeing handwritten fonts in more serious sites as well as the aforementioned styles, and the plethora of available handwritten fonts makes this style of typography easier for designers. We have also selected some free handwritten fonts and web fonts, which are listed after the website showcase.
