Star Trek first hit our screens as far back as 1966, bringing us characters including Captain Kirk, Spock and Sulu. Despite making a huge impact on the world, that series only ran for 3 years, but eventually produced the spin-offs Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise, as well as an extensive series of films.
